Seek Now, a leading property inspection and insurance claims service provider, will have their history of veteran employment and DOD SkillBridge program, DRIVE Academy Military Internship, recognized on a segment of Lifetime’s “Military Makeover: Operation Career with Montel Williams.”
The episode will air on Lifetime and American Forces Network, October 11, 7:30 EST, with a rerun on October 17.
“Military Makeover: Operation Career with Montel Williams” highlights companies and organizations who have taken extraordinary measures to employ, educate, and empower military-professionals as they transition back into civilian life. The segment will feature interviews with Founder and CEO Russ Carroll, veteran field inspectors and employees, and military interns in the DRIVE Academy Military Internship.
Seek Now was founded with deference for military culture and personnel. From the military upbringing of the CEO to the veteran onboarding effort that has led to 33% of their Field Inspector Network being prior service, Seek Now has made unique strides in addressing the veteran unemployment and underemployment crises. With the creation of their new initiative – the DRIVE Academy Military Internship – Seek Now has utilized the DOD SkillBridge Program and Army Career Skills Program to provide transitioning service members with career resources to enter the property inspection and insurance industries.
“It’s great to have our efforts recognized,” said Mark Adams, Director of Process Improvement, Founder of DRIVE Academy, and 20-year Air Force veteran. “I’m grateful that the show will help veterans and service members see another opportunity for them after service. We understand the challenges of transition: data shows that non-military employers struggle to understand the experience and qualifications of service members, and service members struggle to translate them. That’s why we’ve taken great care to not only recruit military-professionals for our field inspectors, but for our corporate office as well. Bridging that gap and fostering a culture of camaraderie is what makes us different.”
